Dr Francois Smit has 17 years experience in placing dental implants; his extensive skills, knowledge and experience ensures that you are in great hands with your Implants at CHD. Our Associate Dentist, Sean Danino is presently doing his Masters in Implantology and under the guidance of Dr Smit is loving the challenge of broadening his skill set. Alongside dental implants, we provide a range of the highest quality cosmetic dentistry options.
Many of our patients have had enough of breakable acrylic dentures, having to remove their teeth at night and speaking with their hands in front of their mouths; they want a real solution to loose dentures or simply want implants to replace their missing teeth. Other patients have been affected by gum-infected teeth and wanted the benefit that implant restorations could bring.
Once patients are able to eat what they want, smile, and kiss with confidence without embarrassing teeth to be concerned about, their lives are enriched and they have a new lease on life.
There really is no need to put up with false or missing teeth, with our 0% finance options (T&C apply), the beautiful smile you have always dreamed of is within your grasp.
Single dental implants
A single dental implant, replaces a missing or poor tooth through a small titanium screw/fixture which takes the place of the original root of the tooth. The fixture is gently placed under local anaesthetic where it bonds with the bone providing stability for the brand new permanent tooth which your dentist will fit for you.
We provide a range of options of tooth shape and colour for you to choose from.
Your implant treatment journey
You are welcomed by our warm and friendly reception team and then taken to meet your dentist who will be doing your implant procedure. He will go through all the treatment options available to you and you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. We would like you to be completely at ease and confident that you have chosen the right treatment option for you, so ask any question that could be bothering you, big or small.
A bone density and volume CBCT scan is then taken in order to measure the density, width and depth of your jaw bone. This enables us to see whether your jaw is suitable for dental implants.
The implants are placed in a sterile environment under local anaesthetic; you may experience occasional swelling and/or tenderness for a short while post surgery.
Our consultation appointments are £80. Should you decide to take up the treatment, the sum of £80 will be deducted from your overall cost.
Some of our patients do not require a CT scan or surgical extractions and we will only charge for these should it become necessary.
