All-on-4-teeth FAQs

What does the term all-on-4 teeth mean?

When a patient does not want or is not able to wear dentures, they now have the option of having teeth permanently fitted to the jaw bone by means of implants.

Can i get teeth in a day?

Yes you can. We can fit a temporary tooth immediately onto an implant straight after the extraction of your teeth if there is no infection present.

What are the benefits of all-on-4 dental implants?

They are permanent teeth that are brushed and cleaned just like natural teeth.
– They do not have to be taken out
– They do not need adhesives
– They are comfortable because they do not press down on your gums
– They allow you to experience the hot and cold of your food, as well as the taste
– They allow you to bite with increased force (up to 70% more) so you can eat all your favourite foods again
– They prevent bone deterioration
– They restore your facial features.

Who is the ideal candidate for all-on-4 dental implants?

The ideal candidate is someone who is currently wearing dentures or who will need dentures in the future. Age doesn’t matter but dental implant candidates must be in good health.

What is the success rate with all-on-4 dental implants?

Published studies show a 98% success rate using all-on-4 dental implants.

Will my results look natural?

Absolutely. The all-on-4 dental implant technique gives you permanent teeth that looks, feels and function just like real teeth. No one will know you have implants unless you tell them.

What type of cleaning is required after an implant is placed?

Dental implants should be treated just like your natural teeth should be treated. Daily brushing and flossing is recommended, our hygienists will review oral hygiene instructions with you and will recommend the most appropriate oral hygiene treatment plat to fit your needs.

How long will they last?

If the bone that they are fitted to is strong and healthy and if the implants are well looked after, one can expect them to last for many years.

Is there a lifetime guarantee?

Just as with other surgical implants (such as hip replacements) there is no lifetime guarantee. But if they are well looked after, there is no reason why they shouldn’t last for many years.

Can i fix my dentures so that they don’t move?

Yes you can. A good solution is to fix a denture on implants. This is done either with clips or bars and can even be permanently fixed to the gums by means of implants placed in the jaw bone.

Can i get immediate teeth?

Yes you can. We can now fix implants directly into the sockets of extracted teeth subject to there being no infection in the extracted site.

Can i have an extraction and implant in one day?

Yes, you can if your surgeon feels that there is no infection present and there is enough healthy bone.

How much does it cost?

The total fee for tooth replacement depends on several factors, however as a rough guide, prices average at £2000 for each implant tooth replacement.
